A journal for my reading, and fanart thereof. I read mostly fantasy and romance and post my thoughts on my reads here. Lately I've been structuring these posts in terms of whether or not books pass basic tests for female agency, complexity and presence in media (i.e., the Sexy Lamp, Mako Mori and Bechdel test respectively). The title of this blog is taken from a quote by Vivian Vande Velde; they are four basic criteria I look for in the books I love.
